Two times for me, both times were the Nintendo GameCube. Wouldn't read discs anymore.
I've had a gamecube and my original DS phat die on me. All my other systems are still going strong.
Rest in peace in peace? Was that on purpose?

My Nintendo Wii died on me; It just stop reading discs out of nowhere and and I don't know what I did wrong. :-\

Just in time for next gen. My Gamecube busted a few minths before the Wii came out. And my 360 RROD'd a few years ago right as my summer break was about to start lol
My Wii wouldn't read discs and my PS1 (LONG TIME AGO) completely died.
I replaced that PS3 with another 60gb fat one only to have it not read half the games I put into it, so now I own a Super Slim.

My original DS Lite broke apart in 2 months. The hinge around the R button broke off and eventually the whole top screen broke off. It was cool playing games in discolored graphics for awhile, though.
I heard that the DS Lite had a lot of hinge problems. I never encountered that, I mostly had defective A buttons or touch screens.Toadette said:
Yeah, my second Lite (my current one) is just fine, though it can't stay open on it's own. Doesn't matter anymore anyways, they really fixed that with the DSi and 3DS. I mainly keep the Lite around for Sentimental purposes and GBA game access.Snowy said:

My PS1 died many years ago, as the spinner wore out and broke off. That PS1 lived a long time.
My Wii quit reading discs a few years back, but spent $85 to get it repaired. Glad I have it modded now, so I don't have to deal with that again.
