In case you're wonder - YSMP stands for "Yoshiman's Super Mario Party"
I've shortened it because the last 2 words made no sense to leave on.Introduction to why this is here :
Since the beginning of the month, I've been considering a number of things from the recent Mario Party: Island Tour, mostly around the areas of Kamek's Carpet Ride and Shy Guy's Shuffle City, since they both play using cards.
Basically, after thinking all these things over for a while, and creating a board for this to work on, I've developed what I'd think of as the best of both, with addition of a few common Mario Party elements as well. As it's not like my original games, that's why I'm labeling it as an... extra mode. As of now, everything's complete, and I'm just needing someone to play it to see how it is, and that's where this topic comes in...
In a brand-new format, a new kind-of party comes into the format!
It's a race to the finish as you strategically use your cards to outwit your opponents and arrive right at the end of the boards!
IMPORTANT NOTES FOR SIGNING UP :
- You must be active ~ I don't want someone holding up the game for everyone else
- Just simply tell me which character you want to play as and you are good ~ (I will accept any character (But Bowser), although I do prefer if they were from the Mario Series ~ even if you made them up
)
- Also (only if you can or it is a custom Mario character ~ not required) please submit a sprite of your character you want to use.

Card Party!
In a brand-new format, a new kind-of party comes into the format!

It's basically a race to the finish, but with a few added rules!

You play the game with cards - playing a card moves you the exact number written on the card.

To win, you have to land on the Goal Space perfectly. Over-shooting causes you to re-bound off the edge of the board and go in reverse.

For most turns, you will take a card from a certain opponent, while another will be taking a card from your own hand.

A Bowser Card is within the mix, which prevents you from wining and causes other problems while held, unless you can get rid of it beforehand.

There are also "Power Cards" which you can use to aid yourself or harm your opponents. These can't be taken from you normally.
Cards are divided between both Normal Cards and Power Cards. You will never know what card your opponents have, both Normal and Power ones, except under a few circumstances. To use a card, on your turn, you must publicly announce the card you're using, however.
Normal Cards are what you'll be using to move around the board as you try to reach the Goal Space. You start off receiving 4 from the start of a Round. Each varies in number, and will move you the exact amount written on it when used. After each move, you'll take a card from your opponent. You'll be able to pick the card you want, but you won't know what you get until you choose. A Bowser Card is also in the mix, and you're going to want to give it up as soon as possible in those events. After 3 turns of moving, the player with the Bowser Card is punished with a Bowser Event, then everything starts over again in a new Round (positions are kept.
Power Cards are more like items in this game. You are given one of your choice between a few at the start, but the rest you obtain from the various spaces you can land on. They're also coloured depending on how you can use them, with Blue Cards harming your opponents, while Green Cards can modify your own cards. You'll be told what your card does when you receive one. You may only hold 3 of these at one time, however.
