This topic is meant to replace daily logs, giving you knowledge on the exciting stuff the happens in our lives without an endless string of "normal day" posts.

Yesterday, we participated in the Math Counts State Competition. The two of us tied, each scoring an 18, and due to tiebreakers, CTQ finished a bit ahead of Ampsen. The final results put CTQ at 64th, Ampsen at 66th, and both of us with a better score than the competition average, 17.22. All in all, a very fun experience! (Not to mention, they had a raffle and CTQ won an electric mug )

Something I forgot to mention about the raffle was that every one had a 6-digit number, with the first 3 being the same. CTQ's number was 497. So close... though the person with 498 did win something. A Star Wars book, if I remember correctly.

Got the luckiest thing ever during a trip to an arcade/hotel. Instead of giving us 2 days of passes for the two of us like we paid for, the hotel gave us too much and we got 3 days worth for our entire family!

Our brackets are doing really good. CTQ is at 140, with 1760 PPR, whilst Amp is at 130 with 1740 PPR. If you want to stay updated, go to the group page. The brackets are called "PK Star Storm" (CTQ), and "(Almost) Perfect" (Ampsen).

The most I've ever won was $50, but that was on a $2 one where it was easy to get a higher amount. (In a different state) I'm in that different state now and may test my luck with my father again!
