Mine is blue yoshi and my fav colour
What did you name him?

Some say that Yoshi is the strongest partner and its Stampede attack is capable of doing 50+ damage when beefed up multiple times.
You can also boost him up with the Partner Power Badge?
His regular attack for example
9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 that would cause  a lot of damage.

Yes, also by charging. The Stampede attack is even deadly to the enemies when charged up.

That's why I always change my partner to Yoshi when I don't need a different partner to do something. He makes me feel safe...

The color yoshis you get are timed by how long you stay in battle
the minutes are:
0-6 minutes for the green yoshi
6-9 minutes for the red yoshi
9-11 minutes for the blue yoshi
11-15 minutes for the orange yoshi
15-18 minutes for the pink yoshi
18-19 minutes for the black yoshi
and 19-20 minutes for the white yoshi

Actually, the timer starts when you get the egg on top of the Hot Dog Stand.

Wait, so you can just wait for 7 minutes and do nothing and yours will be red...?

I also thought it was from how many times it bounced while you chased it...

No, you have to lose the battle with the Iron Twins by 7 minutes after getting the egg. Then it will be a Red Yoshi.

It had nothing to do with how many times it bounces.

Wierd. I remember I got a Pink Yoshi but I only battled them for 10 minutes or maybe a little less.
