Top 3: Sick of You Long Time, Easy to Crash
Comments: Classic CAKE album, nothing changed in 6 years. Personally I think the rating should be higher.
Ritual - White Lies

Top 3: Bigger Than Us Strangers, Holy Ghost
Comments: It's not post-punk, it's synthpop. Songs drag and lyrics are terrible. Does have some good highlights though.
The King Is Dead - The Decemberists

Top 3: Down By The Water* This Is Why We Fight, Calamity Song
Comments: Welcome to alternative country, didn't like a whole lot on this one. Down By The Water is an amazing song though.
The Cold Still - The Boxer Rebellion

Top 3: Step Out Of the Car No Harm, Both Sides Are Even
Comments: Slower than Union but still the album to beat. No idea why it's being review so low.
Red Barked Tree - Wire

Comments: You'd think a post punk band would eventually collapse. 30 years after Pink Flag this band is still good.

Comments: Gang of Four aren't so lucky 30 years later. Album comes out mostly dull.
Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will - Mogwai

Top 3: Mexican Grand Prix Rano Pano, White Noise
Comments: Sometimes no lyrics are the best lyrics. Highly recommended.
The King of Limbs - Radiohead

Top 3: Lotus Flower Bloom, Separator
Comments: Radiohead is no longer a rock band, for now at least. It's short and experiment as ever but if you're a big Radiohead (like I am), you'll probably learn to at least like it.
Build a Rocket Boys! - Elbow

Top 3: Neat Little Rows The Birds, Open Arms
Comments: Boring in parts, but has a cheery vibe to it. Out of everything here the rating might shift the most.
Angles - The Strokes

Top 3: Under Cover of Darkness Machu Picchu, Life Is Simple In the Moonlight
Comments: Biggest disappointment this year. Under Cover of Darkness has a good chance of being song of the year, but the rest of it seems like a mess with no motivation to pick up the pieces.
The Big Roar - The Joy Formidable

Top 3: Austure Everchaning Specturm of a Lie, A Heavy Abacus
Comments: F*** Pitchfork. Great debut album for the Welsh band. I highly recommend this if you like rock in general.

Comments: It's a good album, not the best this year (I listened to one her previous albums, and plan to listen to more) but still worth a listen.
