I loved the first game of the series because it was just an awesome puzzle game. Not only does Mario show off his platforming skills, but he also shows us that you have to use some logic in order to beat some levels, like using the colored switches or enemies to your advantage. The DK Battles were awesome too. Reminds me of playing an advanced version of Donkey Kong (1980).
