Mario Party Hacking Showcase (Screens/Videos)

This is something I did a few years back. This isn't a hack, it's just some texture swaps.

Yeah, he works perfectly, aside from shaders, which is an aesthetic issue. He goes over Toad's bones, so he uses Toad's animations.

Only except I ripped the head myself with 3D Ripper DX so he has his neutral face and hat position.



Before you ask how to change the voice, BrawlBox is currently unable to save any modifications to the voice samples in the .brsar (you can still patch it with a hex editor so that it loops any new music you can put in the game, though). I'm currently in the process of replacing the HUD, and I am currently documenting which HUD is which and where you can find it.

Can you edit all the text in the game?
 
Well if I were you I'd use it to do something hilarious like replace every line of text with loosely relevant rap lyrics or something. :p
 
1. I don't listen to a lot of music :p

and 2. It would be difficult, because the words in the sentence have to be the exact same amount from the ones already in the game.

Hence the extra "a" on wat. I added it because the original sentence was "What kind of story do we have today?" The rest I put there didn't load for some reason, and that's because I removed "of," or put null bytes in it's place.

Not having it exact will freeze the game on Toad, if you're trying to edit that text in the start of the game.

Huh. Could you exploit that bug? For example, write a short message, then remove the 'of' and fill the rest with a's or whatever? Or does it break other stuff as well.
 
I might've not edited the minigame explanation correctly, but when I tried editing Platform Peril's minigame explanation and launched the edited rom in my N64 emulator, it gave a very high pitched loud noise with this error:

I'll try to figure this out.

Edit: It was because I used a Mario Party 2 save file that was formatted for a different Mario Party 2 rom... I feel stupid now...
