There was Mario Party 9 logo on the screen. Nothing is known about it, but could well mean they're working on it. It appeared for a second or two.

Right, because it wouldn't make sense. For Nintendo 3DS, it would be Mario Party 3DS.

All we can do now is hope we get more news about it and more activity around the Mario Party Legacy. It's been 4 years since Mario Party 8.

I'm guessing 95% chance it's on the Wii U.  Not only was it very clear that Nintendo is kind of dropping Wii at E3, but they are going to have a field day with the new Wii U controller.  Hide n seek is definitely a mini game.

Yeah and if it's on the WiiU that means we'll have to wait a year plus for an actual new Mario Party to come out but I hope it's for the WiiU so it can be the best it can be. Just not too gimmicky like Mario Party 8 please.

I think it might be doubtful if it would be a launch title, so I think it's safe to say that it would be out no sooner than April 2013.
