Mario Party 3 and 4 Music Style

I dunno HOW to say it but.. Don't you feel like Mario Party 3 and 4 music are pretty similar?
Does someone know if it is from a particular style of music? Because they all.. sounds alike!
It's kinda weird to explain..

The reason why the music in both games sound familiar is because the soundtrack for both games are done by the same composer, Ichiro Shimakura.
