Jinx's Top 10 Mario Parties (Requested by Brookelas)

QuartrJinx?
We all know the Mario Party series, but how well do I rank them? This list covers all the Mario Parties (except Advance which isn't even a Mario Party) and how I feel about each one. Now let's do this!

10. Mario Party 1

The very first game in the series doesn't leave any impressions other than some critical flaws. First off, this is one of the most luck centralizing of the Mario Parties. Second, there's not much depth to it, having few modes to go through. Let's not forget to mention the control stick rotating minigames that hurt everyone's palms. There may be some positives in boards and some of the minigames, but the negatives outweigh them as far as I'm concerned.

9. Mario Party 9

Ah, the Mario Party that most players hate, and this is no surprise for it placing this low. Sure, the car was a nice concept, but it was executed rather poorly due to the high amount of sheer luck compared to other Mario Parties. Despite that, the minigames are what save this from being at the very bottom of this list.

5. Mario Party 5

This Mario Party is middle ground for me; nothing too spectacular, but nothing that's really atrocious. The boards are rather well designed, and the minigames are very fun to play, and it has, IMO, the best Minigame Mode of the Mario Parties, with so much variety in the games.

3. Mario Party 7

This is one great GCN Mario Party with a lot of depth in it. Bowser is way more serious here than in the other GCN Mario Parties, and the boards and minigames are fun to play through. The 8-player feature was a great addition, allowing for more chaos and plenty of salt to be shaken.

2. Mario Party 3

My favorite of the N64 Mario Parties, this game has a lot of depth to it. The story is IMO the best one of the series, testing some character traits for a special prize. The boards are very well designed, and the minigames are all fun and memorable. The addition of duel boards and duel minigames was a very great concept that was very well executed. But even with all of these great aspects, there is still one which I like better.

Through the process of elimination, you can say that my favorite Mario Party is...

1. Mario Party 6

Mario Party 6. This game beats all of the others in my book. First off, the boards have very great design. The day/night feature is also very well executed. The minigames are very fun to play and some minigames changing during the day and night were also great. There is also a solo mode which tests skills in various minigames and also strategizing on using Orbs. Speaking of which, the Orb system was excellent here, being able to power up or hinder opponents. The mic system was also a good addition, and the games associated with them are all enjoyable. There is even an Endurance Alley to make a challenge of how far you can go. With all of these concepts in a great Mario Party, 6 is my favorite ever.
