Jinx's Top 10 Fire Emblem Characters (Requested by Toadette)

QuartrJinx?

The Fire Emblem series is one of the greatest strategy RPGs for Nintendo, aside from Pokemon. Let's look at 10 characters that really stood out from the rest.

#10

10. Sothe

Sothe is an interesting character. A skilled swordsman, thief, and member of the Dawn Brigade, a band of freedom fighters operating out of the old Daein capital, Nevassa. Although not related to Micaiah, the light-magic-dealing leader of the Dawn Brigade, he was raised like a brother and considers her safety his top priority. He grows from boy to young man between "Path of Radiance" and "Radiant Dawn." Not only that, but he has a lot of speed. Truly one of the more prominent Radiance characters.

9. Ashnard

Ashnard is The 13th king of Daein, feared across the land as the "Mad King." He ignited a continent-wide war after attacking the neighboring kingdom of Crimea. Aiming to free the dark goddess locked inside Lehran's Medallion, he is stopped and defeated by Crimean forces. Ashnard's armor is blessed by the goddess, like the Black Knight's, and he uses the sword Gurgurant. This is how a villain can really do his job.

8. Elincia

Elincia is the queen of Crimea, a kingdom ruled by the wise beorc race. With deep pride and consideration for her people, Elincia rules justly, having taken the crown three years prior after winning the war against Daein. However, there are rumblings of discontent among Crimean nobles that threaten her kingdom. Elincia wields the mighty sword Amiti, passed down by Crimean royalty. Also, she has very high luck, meaning she's Jirachi.

7. Lyn

Lyn is a strong-willed youth whose skill with the blade draws many admirers. Lyn sets out on her quest to become a master swordsman after coming to the aid of a fallen traveler. She soon learns she's a living member of the nobility of Lycia, a neighboring country. Soon she's involved in a violent dispute over the ascension of the Caelin throne. She also appears in SSBB as an Assist Trophy, in which she charges up a powerful strike that could KO at low percentages. Also she is very fast.

6. Black Knight

The Black Knight is one of Daein's Four Riders and wielder of the blessed sword Alondite. Once an apprentice to Ike's father, Greil, the two eventually duel, resulting in Greil's defeat. Thought to be dead after losing to Ike and the blessed sword Ragnell, the Black Knight survives and comes to the aid of Micaiah, the leader of the Dawn Brigade, a band of Daein freedom fighters. Also, you just gotta admire rivals. Look at Shadow!

FEPR_Ike02.png

5. Ike

Ike is a member of Crimea's top fighting force, the Greil Mercenaries. He's a man of few words whose blunt manner gives the impression that he's uncaring, but he's actually a passionate hero. He was crucial to the reconstruction of Crimea. In Radiant Dawn, he continues to show his deep sense of honor and leads the Greil Mercenaries to the aid of the Laguz Alliance. He has very high skill in the games he appeared in. He appears in SSBB, where whores are constantly spamming F-smashes trying to get easy KOs.

4. Lon'qu

"He gives orders. I stab people. I think our roles are clear."

Lon'qu is one interesting character. He's a mercenary of Chon'sin heritage residing in Ferox, formerly employed by its West-Khan Basilio. He previously served as Basilio's champion in Ferox's inter-khan tournament, but was defeated and replaced by Marth. Following Chrom's victory in the tournament as Flavia's champion, Basilio assigned Lon'qu to serve with Chrom, as "West Ferox's contribution" to Ylisse's defense. He has a lot of speed and he has Avoid +10, meaning he can dodge enemies with ease. His Killing Edge can crit very easily. This guy is like Shadow Man with a sword!

3. Marth

Marth is the prince of Altea, in whose veins the blood of heroes runs. He and a small group of stalwarts fought to free Altea after it was invaded by the kingdom of Doluna and the dark dragon, Medeus. With his divine sword, Falchion, he fought and defeated Medeus. However, Altea was then invaded by King Hardin of Akaneia and eventually destroyed. Marth is an all-around character with no noticeable advantages. He appears in the Smash Bros games, as being one of my favorite Smashers.

FEA_Chrom.png

2. Chrom

"You fought to save Ylissean lives. My heart says that's enough."

Chrom is the prince of the Halidom of Ylisse, the younger brother of its current Exalt Emmeryn, and the elder brother of Princess Lissa. He is a descendant of the legendary Hero-King, bearing the mark of Naga possessed by his bloodline on his left shoulder, and is the current wielder of the Falchion, Ylisse's national treasure. In light of the suspicious actions of the neighbouring nation Plegia, Chrom convened a vigilante force, The Shepherds to patrol the Ylisse borders and observe Plegia. Chrom is well-balanced in battle, with no stat being ridiculously higher than the other. Also he fills his role of main hero very well.

Who can trump the other characters in this list?

FEA_Roy.png

1. Roy

"I have faith in mankind. I will not lose to a man who has lost faith in his people and even in himself!"

Roy is hands-down my favorite FE character ever. Why? Let's go over some detail. Roy had two kingdoms trying to get his, his father suddenly became ill, and his fate is linked to the entire continent. In spite of this, he has a leveled head, stays positive, and does his best with what he's got. He is a brilliant strategist and bases all of his strategies on preserving every troop. They say the best warriors are the ones that hate war, something which is done quite nicely. Roy is one character that I can respect and admire. He is someone you could look up to and aspire to be with, and that is why Roy is my favorite FE character of all time.
