Welcome everyone to the Parties section of the forum. What is this whole "Parties" deal about? Well there will be 3 groups, called Parties, that will compete in various competitions to try to take home the most points and win the championship back home for their team. These competitions will be either individual or group efforts. There will be at least one competition held each week along with a few other special contests.
How are these groups formed? Well there will be 3 G-Mods (Cook, Wolf, and Ryou) who will participate in a draft to select who will be on their team. If you are unfamiliar on how a draft works, it is a round-by-round system where a member has 1 pick per round to select a member for their team. Of course there will be member sign-ups for who wants to participate, but there are no guarantees on who's Party you'll be a part of until draft day.
Next, within each party one member from each team who is not a G-Mod leader will be selected as team captain (thus gaining moderator privileges for their respective party) who will make all of the big calls and final decisions. The G-Mod leaders will have their own special team board where they will plan all the events that will take place during each season.
Each season will last about 10 weeks, which means 10+ events run per season. These events can vary from video game competitions, to posting competitions, to banner creating contests. Only the most well-rounded team will be on the top. Once a season is completed there will be a small off-season time where nothing happens, then the G-Mod leaders will start a new draft after sign-ups and it cycles around.
What if you want to sign up but you sign up too late? Don't worry, we'll have a process called free agency. If you sign up after the draft or if you go undrafted (which can happen since every team will start off with an even amount of players) a team can sign you but it will cost the team 10 points to sign someone. If there is a case where there is a divisible number of 3 free agents after a month or less, then there will be a mini-draft held. But if a team members goes inactive for more than 2 weeks, that team can replace that player with a free agent for only 5 points. If a member announces that they will leave the team for good then the same 5 point scenario plays out if that team wants a free agent. If a member leaves for an announced week vacation or anything of that nature there will be no replacing allowed.
The scoring system will be a simple 3-2-1 point system for most events unless it is a special event that may call for a 5-3-1 point system or just a winner takes all situation. The points system for each event will be announced in the event's topic and there will a topic containing the point standings. If a team decides to cheat they will be subject to a point penalty depending on the severity of the issue.
And that's all there is to cover, if you have any question ask it in the Q&A Thread . So...have fun!
