If humans discover time travel...

If humans discover time travel, Everyone promise to meet at the empire state building 2009 December 24th. I know, I'm weird

So, does anybody believe that we ever will discover this? If so, what will happen if we use it?

Out of all the science fiction stuff I believe in, I don't believe this. Not ever would we learn to alter time.  Anyways, how would we use it? Doing one change in a famous piece in history would just cause detrimental corruption.

Time Travel is kinda useless unless something really tragic occurs.

Actually, if the theory of "multiple timestreams" is correct, then if you went back in time, stopped a horrible event, then went back to the present, you might end up in 1 out of many possible outcomes from the stopping of that tragedy.

I'd use time travel mainly for the purpose of wanting to see what it'd be like 490 years from now.

I honestly think it's impossible. If we have discovered time travel (in the future, of course), then no horrible events of the past would seize to exist.
