Okay, you see. I was laughing and procrastinating in CK when it finally gave me some seriousness to fight because I encountered Ryoux and Sushi.
So sushi impaled me with his sword while Ryoux wave beamed me.
The thing is my shield was on so I could resist 6 damage from every hit so.

Wave beam (30) + Sword (10) = 40.

Shield resists 6 damage...
40 - 12 = 28 damage done.

Corrupt playing.

That wouldn't have mattered, 30 + 10 - 6 = 34. 40 - 34 = 6.
