I'm pretty sure I had plenty of leaches on my hair when I was a lot younger. And this was before I moved. After that, I never had any ever since.
Once or Twice I've gotten a leach on me, but I'm somehow immune to ticks. My sister can get 5 from a forest hike and I'll be clean from ticks.
No I never got leaches on my hair so far.

Not that I know of. I know once when I was pretty young my family and I went on a hike & I remember my brother having to have a tick burnt off his head but I don't think I got any.
In 5th grade, we went on a field trip to Oneida Shores and went to the swampy part to it. We actually went inside (with special clothes of course) and collected samples of insects. I got like a whole colony of leeches in my net and my teacher freaked the hell out.

Anyways, I had a tick on my stomach once. Sucked badly, but I managed to get it out. It was about 4-5 years go. As for leeches, nope, haven't got them yet (then again, never been into a swamp).
You forgot about mosquitoes. Those things suck blood, too. I hate those guys, too. I get bit everyday by them. Meh.

Whenever I go outside I get ticks, I don't find it that big of a deal either, just squeeze them until they pop.
