For those of you who are unfamiliar with Fortune Street, I suggest watching this video:

Wii - Fortune Street E3 Trailer

It's basically a mesh of Mario Party and Monopoly (with the emphasis on Monopoly) - as a result, there's a greater depth in gameplay and strategy than Mario Party 9 will offer - but I'm still more excited for MP9 nevertheless. Additionally, regional online HAS been confirmed for Fortune Street!  ;D And by regional I mean within your own country - so for most of us that'd mean America!

This has a Q4  2011 release date - anyone looking to purchase this , this holiday season? I personally, am!

Hasn't this game been out for a few years in Japan? I remember seeing it's Japaneese name many times before, if it has, then seeing it getting a NA release this much later is somewhat strange.

(I REALLY apologize for a oduble post, I just had to calrify this.) I just did some research, and realized that this is an entire SERIES, I was thinking about a DS installment, so, I kinda' made a mistake.

As for the game itself, it seems nice and has that Mario-Party-ish style to it, and seeing how all the characters having uniqe dialouge, could result in some humerous moments.

But, seeing how Square Enix is involved, and I have a very, VERY large hate torwards Final Fantasy (Which is why I dislike Kingdom Hearts 2, Mario Hoops 3-on-3, and Mario Sports mix ALONE.) I might not want to pick this one up, then again, they seem to be using only Dragon Quest (A series I'm entirely fine with) characters, I might pick it up if they do.

This might have some potential, but I'm not sure of considering it. Maybe I should try renting it. Then again, it has Mario and its friends, maybe it could be worthwhile. It would be a tough choice if Mario Party 9 will be released within the same time frame.

Good fucking Lord, your posts give me cancer.

On topic, I've played Itadaki Street and it's an ight game. I might get the upcoming release.

My sentiments exactly. That was incredibly rude.

Looks like we got some more information here.

Classic and Modern Mario Stages Step Onto Fortune Street

World 1 awaits

Nintendo and Square Enix team-up Fortune Street is bringing the best of both franchises to its world of board games, with new screenshots showing some of the familiar sights you'll be trying to conquer with the upcoming Wii game.

The game takes in spots of Mario history, starting from the classic World 1 from Super Mario Bros. and going right up to Starship Mario from Super Mario Galaxy 2. In between there's a spot of Isle Delfino, Mario Circuit and more.

Fortune Street is out next month in North America, with a European release — under the name Boom Street — set for 6th January.

Looks like we'll be revisiting stages from the past, and the game's release is Monday, December 5, 2011. Saving it for Christmas.
