Detective Conan / Case Closed

Anybody else a fan of this series? It is easily my favorite manga.

I'm up to date with the manga all 700+ chapters read and i'm currently catching up with the anime (around episode 80...).

Always been a big fan of Detective novels so I guess thats why it's such an appealing series.

I have seen episodes, and I am a big fan of the crime/mystery genre (like Cowboy Bebop or Professor Layton), but I just couldn't get into Detective Conan. I've tried to tolerate it, but it just falls flat.

I love it! xD It's one of the best animes ever created.

I am TRYING to catch it up (34 EPS, so far...lol).

Oh yeah, I watched that when I was like 12 on [adult swim]. Then I started noticing just how repetitive the formula of the show was.
1. Someone gets killed.
2. Conan investigates.
3. Conan, of course, finds the killer.
4. Conan uses his watch like James Bond to knock out one of the adults, then uses the watch to imitate the adult's voice.

Way too repetitive, maybe there's some sort of difference between the Western version or whatever, but I don't see how it could've ran so long and is still on.

Of course, most shows do have a formula to them, even House's can be repetitive in that sense, yet I still feel entertained by that show.
