Mario, Burgundy, and Ikomo met up with Deshi, Wario, and Rosa. The six spent the following day marching towards the fortress, fighting evil and gathering information. As night approached, they began to tire, but Rosa pointed at lights in the sky which lit up all over. Her, Mario, Burgundy, Imoko, and Wario could feel power from the cosmos seeping into them. "So this is what it's like," Wario exclaimed in shock. The enemies also became dizzy, making it even easier for the group of good to get through them and find a refuge, but something still wasn't right. They found the bodies of four drones on the ground. Then, the lights pointed into a direction the group followed, the fastest way to Toadette and the others. She introduced everyone to Ferri and told them that they experienced the magic and saw the sky signals too. As they all made last minute conversations and plans, Deshi became jealous and the lights gradually went away. While they were sleeping, a Luma sent Mario a special message for him in his subconscious.
"Mario," a voice called softly, "It's me." At first the voice didn't seem like anyone he knew, but it said the same message again, this time, as a glove reached out to him. As Mario got closer, Luigi appeared from it. "Luigi! Where have you been?" An illusion appeared of him and the Toadettes who had escorted him out of harm's way along with Donkey Kong headed towards Shooting Star Summit. He had been praying for everyone(not knowing of Deshi) and been told of Hitshi's plans. They supported him. "I'm always there for you, Mario. They're no longer after me anymore; I'll find any way I can to help."
