December 13 - Poem Composition!​


Poems... it's such a good sort of moment to write these. You will have to compose one and then make sure that others are going to be impressed by them. It does need to be deeply enough to actually be awesome.

Quick notes:

-> It doesn't need to be video game related.
-> A minimum of 8 lines! (Two paragraphs of 4 lines.)
-> Need to respect the poetry structure. (If you need infos, just search or ask me in Private Message.)

How does it work?

This activity will be a contest, people will have to vote for their favorite poem the next day.

Chillies will be given how? This way...

1st-> 3
2nd-> 2
3rd and others-> 1

Extra Objective -> It's time to talk handhelds! How about 3 posts in Nintendo 3DS (a new topic count for 1 post) for a bonus chilly?

Note: Poetry has nearly no structure, if one were to free verse. In which it wouldn't rhyme, have a set amount of lines, etc.
I will be doing mine in Old English. Since this is being judged by others, and most people can't read true old english, I really only used filler words or simple ones such as ye, doth, shant, thine, etc. It's just so much prettier than modern! (Note, Shakespeare especially was known to bend certain syllables to rhyme. For instance "Insanity" could be pronounced as "Insanitay" to rhyme with "clay")

Winter's wrath
Frost doth dangle upon ye skeleton of tree
As many may play among what was fall
Doth the season wither down among thee
Shalt not doubt the snow at all

Thine unto the eyes shant see the shivers
Children play outside the pane
And naught thy curse the snowflakes dance
Then thou would suffer winters bane

Cold and collected, hath the icicle freeze
Leaving doth strange world it's path
O, could it be so wrong, the winter breeze?
But, anon, shant I not invoke it's chilling wrath

Upon this frost and winter day,
A skylark sang to me
A tale of woe and tragedy
With an end naught told clearly

Thine feathery friend flew away,
To greet the newfallen snow.
But this marked winters day,
It won the ground as foe.





 
Love​
They say love can be blinding
A mere image you cannot see
It only resides in the hiding
Only to be found by me

An everlasting factor of wind
A invisible friend you can say
Guided by hope and never by sin
one is giving and one shall pay

A process of which that can't be mocked
declined by treachery, accepted by diligence
once one shall find thee, his world will be clocked
A time where he will be plunged into essence

My poem is compose of a sonnet.
 
The Christmas Growth
One Holiday season
A young girl came from her home
She was soon asked by a friend for her reason
"It's cold; I didn't think you would be out tonight.
"Hee hee, despite my fragile appearance, I love a Wintertime brome

In fact, I find these little snowflakes rather so cute
especially atop the lucky flower of mine
I'll give you some special ones en my route
I've volunteered to set up the tree
All the way to the star, it will shine

She reaches the festival in awe
Buddies and strangers alike come to play
Now that everyone was here, they all gave a big hurrah
What she likes most is the perfect snow angel
Then, came the true meaning of the lovely holiday

"Mommy, what's Christmas about"
"It's a magical experience enhanced by love and cornets"
Suddenly, gifts and hugs appeared, too many to count
"On this first Holiday night, none cry with joy more than me

This was a poem I originally wrote ELSE where, Boo knows. :p I thought it be perfect as a love/jolly feeling poem to put here. So here it goes!

A Flower's Life
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Ain't nann ho is more
beautiful than you.

You are my water, that keeps
me blossoming and growing hurrrrrge
You are my sun, that's always there
for the surge, of power, I need.

I can always turn to you
for comfort and hugs
As our friendship grows
we blossom together, and so does our love

I will be with you till the day I wilt
I know it will come one day
But hey, as my petals fall, I will think of you
And I'll know, I'll see you again, some way.

I know I'll be okay
as long as I'm with you
I hope you know whatever you need
I will also be your sun, water, and fertilizer, too.
