He has a 3.77 career ERA with the Yankees, let's look at the ERAs of the fruitcakes I just mentioned...

Jeff Weaver - 5.35 *In 2003 he had a 6 ERA!
Carl Pavano - 5.00 *Only started 24 games in FOUR YEARS with the Yankees
Javier Vazquez - 5.09 *Let's not forget that Damon grand slam in Game 7 of the ALCS
Kevin Brown - 4.95 *Also a negative club house influence
Randy Johnson - 4.37 *Not nearly as bad as the previous ones, but being a Hall of Famer and coming off a great season, the expectations were a lot higher for him

All of them, or at least most. They get overpaid to do stuff that isn't that hard. Some of them don't even finish high school or college, yet they make more than 5 peoples' lifetime salary. There's no point why they should have that much while there are more important people in the world, like the people that save our lives. That's my opinion.
