There is one RPG that has lots of fans- Pokemon. (I am too lazy to put the accent on e, so whatever  ;D) Pokemon had 5 generations- Gen 1 to Gen 5. Which of these generations is your favorite?
Generation 1 is overrated, due to nostalgia. I am sick of that word.  :what:
Generation 2 is too straightforward.
Generation 3 is AWESOME due to Hoenn and Double Battles!
Generation 4 is too boring.
Generation 5 is AWESOME due to Unova and Triple Battles!

Dude, I hear you.  I'm so fed up by people like those.  Sure, the Pokemon were nice, but damn, the games were nothing special.  Especially when it had so many drastic errors.  People should read this little article about Gen 1 games.

Anyways.

Gen 2 was okay.  I didn't play much of it, but I liked the Pokemon.  It has my favorite legendary - Lugia.  (Even though Lugia is pretty overrated.  I like Ho-oh too.)
Gen 3 was by far my favorite.  I loved Ruby and Sapphire, they were fun games and I loved the Pokemon in them.
Gen 4 I never played this one, but it doesn't attract much attention for me.  The Pokemon were eh.
Gen 5 looks pretty cool!  Again, never played it and some of the pokemon were more interesting.

I'm saying Gen 3.  :)

My favorite is Generation IV. Sinnoh is a cool region and I the Pokémon in it. Platinum & HGSS were my favorite games of that generation. Team Galactic is probably my favorite villainous team too.

I do like Generation III (except after Mossdeep) and Generation V. Generation I & II are cool too, but I prefer the remakes of the original.

A very difficult question. I would say it's somewhere between Generation I and Generation V. I suppose Generation V for new features and the starters, especially Snivy.
New features in Generation V is very cool, like Dream World! Though, I like Oshawott more than Snivy. :p

I like the first three generations, just for the pokemon in them, I haven't played any gen 4 or 5 games yet.
You should play Gen 5, but not Gen 4.  ;D

I'd have to go with Gen 1. I loved the Pokemon they had, but that's basically it. Gen 3 would take second, due to double battles and...Pokemon, not as good, but not as bad as the newer ones imo.
Though I don't like Generation 1, Kanto's pokemons are great.

Team Galatic is very nice. But I prefer Plasma.

I'm going to say Gen 2.  I like how they included the two regions in the games and how they tried new things like the cell phone and day/night.  I also even found the pokemon to be more appealing overall.  I'm going to include HeartGold/SoulSilver in this because they are still Johto and innovated again using the pokewalker.

On a completely unrelated note...

100th Post!!!
I see you VIP with your 10,000.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Generation II is my most favorite. Generation I is bleck, so is III. IV is pretty decent. Never got into V.

Also, White 2 and Black 2? When was this announced? This is the first I've heard of it.
It was announced a few weeks ago, around the end of February 2012. Slated for release this Fall 2012.
Yeah, so it looks like no Pokemon Grey or Gray.

Gen 1,2, and 3 and 4. Because Red/Blue has great Pokemon, Crystal was one of the best games in the series also Kris, and Gen 3 since LeafGreen and FireRed are my favorites and the Ruby and Sapphire games were super fun to play and the Pokemon were original unlike Gen 5 where non of the Pokemon look original and look like they came out of a bad Disney movie, and Gen 4 was cool becuase all in all I liked the Pokemon.

It's considered a fourth generation Pokemon game not because of what system it was made for, but rather because of what other games it can connect with. It can only communicate with other Generation IV games, hence making it a Generation IV game. Connectivity that doesn't support battling and trade (Pal Park, Poketransfer, etc., don't count).

A hard choice between Gen 1 and 5. I like most of the pokemons in those generations and have Pokemons that I'll happily train until Lvl. 100. Gen 2 comes second (or third lol), The legendaries in that one were awesome, Entei, Raikou, Suicune <3, Lugia, Ho-Oh <3 and Celebi. It also seems to complete the first generation pokemons, so that makes it more special. Third (or 4th -_-) is the 4th generation for me. I liked lots of the new features and pokemons, I really had the motivation to play the games. Many Pokemons, more precisely the evolutions of old pokemon, are awesome. Electivire, Magmortar, Froslass, Togekiss, Mamoswine, Magnezone and I could continue. Last is 3rd generation, never really got into that generation, not even the episodes were appealing.
