Any coin collectors?

There's probably a grand total of nobody on this forum who's into coin collecting, but hey, i'll still take a stab in the dark.

I've managed to gain four wheat pennies and an off-center struck penny. (It lacks a date, so it's not really worth anything.) I'm hoping i can snag a few indian head cents and mercury dimes to add to my collection books.

There's actually a type of dime that sports the head of Liberty wearing a cap (who is mistaken as the messenger Mercury/Hermes, which is where it gets its name) that was started on 1916 to replace the barber dime. They look something like this.

OOOOOH, the Greek runner Mercury. I totally forgot those guys' planetary names existed for a moment (except Venus, thanks (spoiler)!).

Do you have foreign coins as well, like sen or pre-euro coins?
I unfortunately do not, but i'd love to get my hands on some. I've seen a few pre-euro coins that were owned by my roommate, who showed me the German currency (rentenmark and papiermark, iirc) well back then and some really old gold coins from the Roman Empire and Byzantine era. I've even seen a 2 Reichsmark (Nazi currency, for those who aren't familiar with historical coinage) coin in her collection.

(I also forgot she showed me a french franc and a spanish peseta in her collection as well, oops.)

I vaguely remember finding a canadian penny in my change jar when i was much younger. Canadian coinage still shows up in my pocket change from time to time. I've seen an immaculate set of the current canadian coins in circulation at a coin store once, which is pretty neat.

(Also saw a current 2 dollar bill stamped with a star serial going for 50 bucks at the same store. Amazing how much some money goes for.)

"It's not collecting, it's called saving" well that's not rude at all.

Today i found a canadian penny with a bird on the back. I can't remember what it's supposed to be exactly, but i heard it was supposed to commemorate Queen Elizabeth.

Quit making me sound like I'm being rude, I was referring to me. I don't collect coins just for the fun of it, I just save them for later, how did that sound rude??

My bad. I thought you were throwing shade because of how it was worded and got a little defensive. Anyways, let's not start drama over this and stay on topic, please. I don't want a repeat of the Homestuck debacle.

When I was 5 I had a collection of all the quarters that represent the the states , but they fell out of the case , and I moved away . I also have some 50 cents coins , 1 dollar gold coins , and those pennies that gain an oval shape and different design after putting them in a machine .
