The CPU always decides who to use a Snag Bag based on port priority, going from P4>P3>P2>P1. This is why you never seem to witness the AI select you as the player they want to steal from despite you carrying Star Pipes and Triple Dice.

Should both teams achieve the same distance in the Wingin It minigame from Mario Party 7, the red team always wins.
This is one of, if not the only, many minigames that can be ruined by port priority
That's what I meant by port priority.
That even though Yoshi and Birdo were tied in coins and stars with Mario and Luigi, Yoshi was ranked second and Mario was ranked third.
If both teams were ranked second, I wouldn't call that port priority.
If two players/teams are tied in number of stars...
While playing Mario Party 7, this happened.
The quality isn't excatly great, but Yoshi and Birdo were tied with Mario and Luigi in number of stars and coins. And yet Yoshi was second while Mario was third.
And I noticed that in the minigames that use rumble, if the rumble feature is turned on and somebody is using a Wavebird, the rumble feature is automatically turned off for that minigame.
