Mario Party Legacy Turns 18

Am I even allowed to be shocked for this anniversary? It happens every year. The website gets a year older and another one of my fingers crumble into dust. It’s tough to think about, but the Mario Party series started up 28 years, and Mario Party Legacy followed that up just 10 years later with our first official post. We’ve been here for over half the lifespan of the series. The website turned 18 today! What is time??

But you know what? The website had a great year. In March, I launched a brand new theme, built from the ground up with Mario Party and mobile content in mind. In June, I whipped up a Mario Kart World guide over the Switch 2 release weekend, and boy did that prove to be the right call. Lots of eyes on that one. And all throughout the rest of the year, I’ve been revamping and modernizing our 20+ guides covering Mario games new and old. I even kept a progress log of the last nine months of updates. Just a single guide left and I am DONE! And I can’t forget our Discord server where Mario Party creatives continue to push the modding scene to new heights.

So, what’s next? Once I give our Super Mario Bros. Wonder guide the attention it (really) needs, I’m off to work on the Mario Party game pages. This will be less of an update to modernize these pages and more of a complete restructuring of the section and the content. I’m talking things like more dedicated pages for boards and minigames, user friendly lists, more images, and the like. I’ve got a lot of ideas, but I want that content to ultimately be something that you all can find useful. So in the spirit of the website hitting the legal voting age…

I put together a quick feedback form! Hop in and share your thoughts on what you think these Mario Party game pages should include.

Happy to look over any and all thoughts. Even the negative ones!

I’m proud of the website and all the help it has provided over the years. I’m proud of the many contributors that helped make it what it is today, and I’m proud of the community both new and old. There’s a lot to look forward to in our next year!
