Full Look at Western Land in Super Mario Party Jamboree

The return of two classic boards was one of the more exciting developments of Super Mario Party Jamboree when the upcoming Switch game was announced last month. News has been quiet since then, but a recent teaser revealed a closer look at both returning boards.

You ever seen the Nintendo News section from the main menu of your Switch? Posts made through this in-game service often feature unique videos and breakdowns that bring official content exclusively to the platform. It’s mostly reworked content that was previously revealed, but it’s new nonetheless. In the case of Super Mario Party Jamboree, a recent news post included a newly edited and shortened version of the official trailer.

Unlike the original trailer, this one showed off both returning boards in full rather than cramming both boards into a single image. For Western Land, originally from Mario Party 2, this meant a look at the top portion of the board that was missing in the full reveal.

Hootenanny! Welcome to the full board reveal. And it looks like there may be an additional passing event just before the third train station at the top of the board. It’s also nice to see more of the Skeleton Key door near the top left. The junction it leads to that bypasses the train tracks for a short trail seems to have been removed!

In less exciting but still noteworthy news, Mario’s Rainbow Castle, originally from Mario Party, also got a full board reveal. That said, the angle of this board means it doesn’t reveal much except blue skies and more of the central tower.

The shots we had before were good, but these full views help put some questions to rest. An appreciated update while news is slow!
