Build an Eevee!

Source: gonintendo.com

Perhaps my favorite news for the week (and its only Monday) is that the Build-A-Bear company announced a little team-up with the Pokémon Company. Starting September 1st, you will be able to stuff your own Eevee plush from Pokémon! It will be available both online and in stores for $28 unless you buy the online exclusive package for $62 dollars that includes a special caped outfit and a pajamas outfit for Eevee, a 5-in-1 sound clip, and an exclusive Pokémon Trading Card with the Build-A-Bear logo stamped on. You can only get the cape through the online promotional bundle, but the “pajamas” can still be bought by their self for $12.50. Check it out here!

Gaming: Cosmic Style

A huge trend this year, I’ve seen, is the “galaxy” aesthetic for practically anything. It seems Nintendo is hopping on this trend before it peters out as they’ve announced a Galaxy-themed New Nintendo 3DS XL. You may be looking at it and thinking, “Huh, I’d like to buy it, but when does it release?” Well… today! They should be at your local retail store by the end of the week, and you can buy it for $199.99. Does this look like something you want to pick up?

Nintendo Direct Madness

There was a Nintendo Direct that just was released and… wow, there’s a lot to cover. TOO much to cover. Thankfully, SuperZambezi is actually a godsend and did all that for me. Most of the news he’s covered but there are two others news stories I feel as if I should cover.

The first was a bit of Sun and Moon news for Pokémon. There wasn’t anything too important, except we can see that there are not just “typed” Z-Crystals. There are also Z-Crystals for specific Pokémon, one of them being Munchlax. In fact, you’ll be able to get a Munchlax with a special Z-Crystal (Snorlium Z) that allows Snorlax to use the special move only it can use, Pulverizing Pancake. Also, it appears that Rattata has an Alola variant that is Dark/Normal. Alola Rattata will have either the ability Gluttony or Hustle.

Next was an announcement that Nintendo is releasing four new amiibo on February 2nd that are for The Legend of Zelda’s 30th anniversary. These four are an 8-bit Link, an Ocarina of Time Link, and both a Princess Zelda and Link amiibo from the Wind Waker. Don’t they look pretty?

Lastly, a Pikmin 2D game was announced for 3DS. Yes, you read that correctly. This bizzare yet exciting new title doesn’t have much to it aside from the footage we saw and a 2017 release date but… dang does it look cool! What do you think about it?

Be sure to listen to the episode of The Lost Levels to hear all about the news I didn’t cover for the Nintendo Direct!

Nintendo Minute celebrates Zelda’s 30th Anniversary

With the Legend of Zelda’s 30th Anniversary on all of our minds, it’s no shock Nintendo Minute decided to celebrate! In this video, they discuss their three favorite Zelda games. I’m sure everyone has a favorite Zelda game. You should watch this video… who knows, maybe your favorite Zelda title is in here, too!

Pokémon Demo?

PokemonSuMo

So the Korean ratings board has listed a demo for Pokémon Sun and Moon. There are no other details besides just that, a listing for a demo, but I’m sure there will be plenty of goodies hidden inside this demo whenever it is released. Is it odd I’m already eager to play it?

The Music of Pokémon Sun and Moon

PokemonSumo2

Pokémon Sun and Moon’s upcoming release is obviously getting us excited. It’s very close to release. Well, if you are as eager to listen to the music as you are to play the game, you’ll be delighted to hear that there will be a Pokémon Sun and Moon “Super Music Collection” releasing this November for $9.99. However, if you don’t want to buy the whole album, each of the 175 tracks can be purchased individually for $.99 cents. Are you planning on buying this? Let me know!

Toon Capabilities

Recently, a Hyrule Warriors Legends DLC pack was announced that features things from The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. It even features Toon Zelda as a playable character. This pack is available now and costs $6.99 on the 3DS and $9.99 for 3DS and Wii U. The footage above displays much of the newly added features inside this DLC package.
