Samus Aran Sighted!
I am certainly not the type to spoil anything, so I’ll proceed with this information with great caution. As you may have realized, Metroid Prime: Federation Force is releasing shortly. Well, it appears that Samus Aran actually is available to be found by the player. While I won’t reveal anything else, I’m sure you want to watch this video to see just what exactly happens for you to find the legendary heroine.

This video was posted to Nintendo’s YouTube that calls for a “Splatoon Summer Splatdown!” The main thing you want to take from this is that the Splatoon Testfire Demo will be live again in case you want to try your hand at this inktastic game. From August 25th to the 28th, you will be able to get on the servers and test out Splatoon from 3 to 5 PST. Are you going to take the plunge and try it out for yourself?

First 4 Figures is well-known for their detailed and beautiful figures of characters from the Metroid series, Mario series, and of course, the Mega Man series. However, they are also well-known for their Zelda figurines and they’ve just announced another! To the left, you’ll see it. Pokémon Worlds closed to the public!
This admittedly may be a little late (it was announced on the 11th), but apparently the Pokémon World Championships have been closed to the general public just days before it will be occurring. It’s starting today, but still, many people were frustrated at this news considering people had already bought their flight tickets and were now not able to attend. However, I think people are justified to be miffed by this news.
A Quartet of Pokémon Revealed!
You are already familiar with the drill, so let’s dive right in. Four new Pokémon have been revealed!
- First came Crabrawler. While it may look like a Water-type, Crabrawler is a pure Fighting-type Pokémon. This is a very tough Pokémon, apparently. Crabrawler has either the ability Hyper Cutter or Iron Fist. Crabrawlers use their fists so often, their pincers may fall off and are said to be delicacies. Which is… kind of strange to think of.
- After that was a Pokémon we’ve seen previously in CoroCoro. Sandygast is a Ghost/Ground type Pokémon that obviously looks like a little mound of sand. However, Sandygast has the new ability Water Compaction. Water Compaction will raise Sandygast’s Defense by 2 when hit with a Water-type move. Sandygast, by the way, is literally the souls of those who wash up on shore. Think about THAT!
- Sandygast’s evolution may look familiar. This Pokémon’s name is Palossand who has the same typing and ability as Sandygast. Palossand, by the way, apparently, possessing people to build onto exterior to build its defenses up. The shovel on the head is said to be used as a radar, too, which it uses to search for prey.
- Finally, the adorable Stufful was shown off. Stufful is a Normal/Fighting Pokémon with the ability Fluffy or Klutz. Yes, I’m sure you guessed it, Stufful is Bewear’s pre-evolution. Despite its cuteness, Stufful hates being touched and will thrash out when it is held. Like Bewear, Stufful holds great strength, so it probably is best not to hold it.

You Feeling It Now, Mr. Krabs?
This may be one of the stranger stories I’ve reported on thus far yet is certainly very interesting. One of the first model imports for Super Smash Bros. 4 has been completed and it is a model of “Mr. Krabs” from Spongebob Squarepants put over Wario. It is very obvious it is just a rough model, albeit, but it is very amusing to see Mr. Krabs awkwardly chomp down on his foes. You should watch the video above to see this all in action!
Fire Emblem x Pokémon?
In a Nintendo Dream interview with Hitoshi Yamagami and Kaori Ando of Nintendo about Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, it was revealed that that game was originally in concept as a Fire Emblem and Pokémon crossover. Yamagami said “5 years ago, Ms. Ando proposed a plan [for a crossover], saying “You know, I think FE and Pokemon‘s rules are pretty compatible!” Though I agreed with her, by chance the Pokemon group had already proposed what eventually became Pokemon Conquest at the same time [so we were unable to follow through].” Both Ando and Yamagami were actually a part of Pokémon Conquest’s production coordination team, too. Later, of course, their plan morphed into a crossover between Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei crossover which is detailed in the interview.

Arceus Departs Soon
The Legendary and Mythical Pokémon Arceus has been available at your local GameStop, EB Games, or GAME store for all this month and, if you didn’t realize, it will be leaving soon. This Wednesday, Arceus will no longer able to be picked up, so I truly would head over and get the code to download one as swiftly as you can! Remember, any copy of Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire can get it.
Metroid Prime 4 Teaser…?
Once again, some more spoilers from Metroid Prime: Federation Force, but this time, it deals with the end of the 3DS title. It appears that Metroid Prime 4 may be a game that will come in the near future if what we see at the end of the credits is anything to go by. However, if you want to see what makes us think we’ll be taking another adventure in the Prime series so soon, you should watch this video from GameXplain to see what’s what. Also, let me know what you think: Do you think this is a true teaser and we should get prepared for a Metroid Prime 4 or just a little nod to a potential Metroid game for the FAR future.
