Minecraft: Wii U Patch

minecraftslideA patch for Minecraft on the Wii U has been released today with many, many changes. Most of them are bug fixes, but the second Battle Map Pack comes with Patch 10 (including maps: Atlantis, Ruins, and Seige.) There were also a lot of fixes to the Battle Mini game within this game. The full update log is here.

Secondary Sea Snails!

Splatoon1Some of you (including me) may be wondering how Super Sea Snails will be available after Splatfests have ended. Simply put, winning 30 matches will grant you a Super Sea Snail. You can get it by talking to Judd the Cat in the plaza.

Lady Layton!

Today, a game named Lady Layton: The Millionaire King Ariadne’s Plot (in Japan) has been announced. The protagonist of the series is Layton’s daughter, named Catoleil in Japan. The game is to come on both mobile devices and the Nintendo 3DS and is planned to feature traditional Layton-style puzzles. Expect this game to come Spring 2017 and more details will, hopefully, arrive soon!

UPDATE: I’ve replaced the video with an official subbed trailer for Lady Layton. The game will be coming in America at some time during 2017. The main character is just named “Kat” in the West as well. Finally, the official title is Lady Layton: The Millionaire Ariadone’s Conspiracy.

Tadpole Treble Release Date Announced

Tadpole Treble is a game developed by the same people who worked on the web comic Brawl In the Family quite some time ago. The game has gone through various stages of production but finally has an official release date for the Wii U. This eccentric rhythm game looks very exciting! Tadpole Treble is coming August 11th.

Triple the Kirby!

Kirby1A total of three Kirby titles are coming to the eShop tomorrow! That’s right! You’ll be able to get Kirby’s Epic Yarn (from the Wii) and Kirby Mass Attack (from the DS) on the Wii U Virtual Console. These will cost $19.99 and $9.99, respectively. And the other? Kirby’s Dream Course will be coming to the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console. That last one is already on the Wii U Virtual Console. Do you plan on getting any of these three titles?

Pokémon GO Plus Delayed?

PokemonGOThe Pokémon GO Plus accessory that was supposed to come quite soon has been delayed until September instead of the July release date we were supposed to have. We’ll get the Pokémon GO, still, but its upsetting that we are not getting it until September, now.

Sonic Mania Analysis

For those of you equally excited for another Sonic title, you probably were extremely excited to see Sonic Mania. However, inside the trailer announcement for this retro-inspired title, many scenes flashed before our eyes. Well, lucky for us, GameXplain has compiled all that footage and analyzed it with a keen eye. Play the video above to see it!

Miitomo version 1.4!

Miitomo1Nintendo’s social app Miitomo has officially updated to a new version. Version 1.4.0 has a few changes, perhaps the largest being a new game called “Candy Drop.” Candy Drop works similar to that of Miitomo Drop, however, instead of spending Game Tickets, you spend Candy. And the prize is not new clothing, you actually get Game Tickets for winning. So, basically, you can spend candy at Candy Drop to get Game Tickets for Miitomo Drop! With this update, you can also turn off the Miifoto of the Day feature.

Raspberry Pi NES

The title of this video could very much confuse you. Well, a hacker known as “daftmike” has created his own Mini NES that uses NFC controllers which allow to be played. It even runs off the RetroPie emulators which allow it to play games that weren’t even on the NES originally. Actually, the Raspberry Pi Mini NES also has mini NES cartridges, so it truly is like a little tiny NES system in the palm of your hands. If you want to hear more information on this, please watch the video!

So What Does Kirby Cafe SOUND Like?

Source kirbycafe.jp

Previously reported was the “Kirby Cafe” coming to Japan for a short time, if you can recall. Well, it appears that a soundtrack, believe it or not, is being released for it, too. Yes, you can truly hear what the Kirby Cafe will sound like. You can actually check out the tracklist right here. At the top of this page, you can also see pictures of what will be served at the cafe. While all of this is in Japanese, you can run the page on Google Chrome for a rough translation. However, a user named “ladycupid” on Twitter has provided a better translation of the tracklist titles.

Did You Know Pokémon GO?

Did You Know Gaming? has released a new video feature on Pokémon GO. I mean, it was bound to happen considering just how popular the app is. This video in particular focuses mostly on the development behind the app. In fact, during one part, there is a whole explanation of how Niantic, the Pokémon Company, Nintendo, and Google all worked together to create this popular game. You can also see that this video is narrated by Jimmy Whetzel.

Pokémon GO Server Update!

PokemonGo1Pokémon GO’s servers have been updated. Unfortunately, you might see a few PokéStops or Gyms changed or removed entirely with this. However, there’s a positive part of this update! With the server update, the Pokémon have “migrated” for lack of a better word. Where you once may have found a few Electabuzz, you may now find a few Clefairy’s in their place. Go and check out what Pokémon are know out and about near you!

Pokémon to be at Gamescom!

Pokemon1Gamescom is a very large gaming convention in Europe and with a new Pokémon game coming out, we may be getting some new details for Pokémon Sun and Moon as the Pokémon Company just announced they will have a presence there. Also a Pokkén Tournament competition is being held there! If anything important comes up from Gamescom (which takes place August 17th to the 21st), you’ll see it here!

Glitched Out

Something interesting I found late last night was this video. It covers a few glitches supposedly hidden within the original Metroid on NES! Yes, you usually will find many a glitch within an NES game. This video was actually released in light of Metroid’s 30th anniversary, too. If you want to see just how wild the glitches can get within Metroid, watch the video!
