Mario Party 2 Headed to Japanese Wii U eShop

UPDATE: Mario Party 2 is now available to purchase and download from the Wii U eShop in Japan!

Mario Party 2 is set to release on the Wii U eShop in Japan on March 30 as the latest Nintendo 64 game to join the Virtual Console. The game has been previously released on the Wii Virtual Console back in 2010, and outside of Mario Party Advance, no other Mario Party title has been released since then.

So when can we expect the game to come to other territories? The Virtual Console on the Wii U, especially for Nintendo 64 titles, has been very slow at adding titles to its library, but rest assured that the game will make it here at some point now that it has a release date in Japan.

I’m not surprised that the first “Mario Party” AND “Mario Party 3” aren’t in the Virtual Console for the Wii.

MP2 is hands down one of my all time favorite MPs. Hopefully later on, we will get the chance to play MP3 and the GCN ones too. (then again, this for Japs)

This game is a lot of fun but I still like the GameCube mario party games a little more. Probably because of nostalgia.

MP3 is my favorite. But the Gamecube MP games are great too!
