Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympics (3DS) and Yoshi’s Story (N64) Released in Japan

Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games for the Nintendo 3DS is now released in Japan! Japanese players can now purchase the game at their local retailer or purchase from the Nintendo 3DS eShop to participate the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil! The game will arrive on Friday, March 18, 2016 for North America. The release date for Europe and Australia, is Friday, April 8, 2016 and Saturday, April 9, 2016, respectively. As of now, there is no further information regarding the Wii U version of Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

The actual 2016 Olympic Games will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in August 2016.

Japanese players also have Yoshi’s Story from Nintendo 64 in the Wii U eShop to look into. Yoshi’s Story is a game where you help Baby Yoshis of eight different colors to eat up 30 pieces of fruit in each stage to rescue the Super Happy Tree from the evil Baby Bowser, all in a storybook.

Looking at some gameplay videos (Search on youtube videos uploaded today) the game looks awesome 😀 (Even with the character restrictions, the Story Mode looks promising)

Saw some gameplay of the events and story mode and… Meh. I think I’ll pass. If I did buy it, I don’t think it would hold my attention for long. I think I’ll wait for the Wii U version.
