Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam is set to release in Europe on December 4, a day after the Japanese release. Australia also got a release date for the game, this time a week later on December 10. North America is still set for a Spring 2016 release, but don’t be surprised if this is changed soon!
In addition to the release news, a new press release reveals new details on the game’s story. Take a look at it below:
The Mushroom Kingdom is about to learn that two Marios are better than one in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros.! Releasing on December 4th for Nintendo 3DS family systems, the fifth instalment of the popular RPG series will see Paper Mario jump off the page and form a superstar team of Mario Bros. to take on the only thing more threatening to the Mushroom Kingdom than one Bowser: two of them!
When Luigi accidentally opens a mysterious book hidden away in Peach’s Castle, he gets more than he bargained for when characters from the Paper Mario universe spill out of the pages and start running amok. Players must take control of the terrific trio of Mario, Luigi and Paper Mario to defeat Bowser and Paper Bowser and bring the Paper Mario characters back to their original world.
Adding Paper Mario to their ranks means that Mario and Luigi have even more ways to explore, solve puzzles and take down any enemies foolish enough to mess with the Mario Bros. In a first for the series, players can now battle with Trio Attacks, as well as use Paper Mario’s unique copy ability, allowing him to create duplicates of himself in order to bolster his attack power. Our papery hero also has special skills outside of battle, like his ability to slip through tiny cracks to areas inaccessible to the three-dimensional brothers.
Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros. will also see the introduction of Paper Craft Battles, tasking players with taking down the Bowsers’ forces with the power of dance! Craft battles see our heroes take part in rhythm-based events in order to power a giant papercraft and use it to defeat giant papercrafts from Bowser’s army.
Japan: December 3rd 2015
Europe: December 4th 2015
Australia: December 10th 2015
America April 1st 2016(Just a guess)
Either the creator of M&L hates the USA and is trolling us. Or, Nintendo of America just doesn’t feel like having to deal with all the work for Paper Jam by December.
Either way, idc because Europe, please upload the final boss theme to Youtube at least…
NEVER >:D
Nintendo of America might not to want to release a big Mario 3DS game in December. That’s missed sales from Black Friday. So they might want to either release the game in November, before Thanksgiving, or stick to their original Spring 2016 release, with February 2016 at the earliest. January is no good for them, that month has horrible sales.
Yes, I know Captain Toad was released in December 2014 in North America, but that was a low budget title. Mario & Luigi is not a low budget title.
Well, since the game has been announced for December everywhere else, I think it’s too late for November. I think 2016 is the most likely release date for NA.
On the other hand, Xenoblade Cronicles X is still coming out in December for NA, so that month is still a possibility.
WOW AMERICA WHYYYYYYYYYYYY
why wait until 2016
Yus! I’m so getting dis! But it looks like it has less stuff to do then Dream Team…
Dream Team was a pretty big game, so I’m okay with it having less stuff. As long as it isn’t too short either I’m okay with it.
So happy with this news, hopefully you Americans don’t have to wait long either.
Can’t wait to try this new entry . Hopefully it can make up for me skipping Paper Mario Sticker Star . Even though Paper Jam isn’t fully a Paper Mario game .
Here’s an idea: What if Real Mario and Luigi enter the Paper World halfway through the game?
That’s what i was thinking! 😛
Also it could be like Inside Story and Dream Team, the “secondary world” is playable in 2D
