Yoshi’s Woolly World Released For PAL Regions!

Yoshi’s Woolly World, a game that was first announced in the Wednesday, January 23, 2013 Wii U Direct, has finally released in Australia and Europe. The PAL territories can now play as Yoshi to travel through six worlds collecting stuff to unlock content. Make your way through to rescue your favorite Yoshi buddies in different colors and costumes and fight against Kamek and Baby Bowser. The Yarn Yoshi amiibo figures (Green, Pink, and Light Blue) are also available in retailers. Use them (or Smash Yoshi or Super Mario Bros. Yoshi variants) to have an extra Yoshi in play, as if you were playing 2-player co-op. All of the Super Smash Bros. amiibo figures (EXCEPT Pokémon) will grant you a Yoshi costume for that amiibo character. Toad can also be used, as well.

Yoshi’s Woolly World will be released in Japan on Thursday, July 16, 2015, while North Americans will have to wait nearly four months to get the hands on the game, in which it will not release until Friday, October 16, 2015.

While our PAL players are playing Yoshi’s Woolly World, North Americans are not left out. North Americans can play Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, a Nintendo DS game that is just released for the Wii U eShop. The game will run you $9.99. If you’re thinking of getting Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam when it comes in Spring 2016, now would be a good time to get started on the series to get a feel.

I don’t know. Maybe there are just some idiots in the localisation department.

There are no idiots. It’s business decisions. Without this game, there’s probably no game to cover for the month of October. Plus, game sales for North America during the summer months are horrible.

Can’t believe we have to wait so long for Woolly world. If I have 10 dollars to spare though, I will try to get partners in time.

Aaaaannnnnd Gamexplainalready beat it.

As for Partners in Time, I already own it on DS (and love it!) but it’s cool that one of the less popular Mario RPGs is getting rereleased.

The only reason I can get for them waiting till October to release it to North America is to tie in with 20th anniversary release of Yoshi’s Island . Even though that came out October 4th 1995, But that’s just my guess .

I spent ALL the morning looking for the amiibo pack over AAAAAAAAAAAAAALL the city. 15 shops, some of them didn’t even have the game with no pack. I was going to give up, there was only one shop left in the place I was. And then, I saw it. I couldn’t stop laughing and smiling

Hopefully there’ll also be Outfits for the remaining 12 Smash Bros. Amiibos as well as for Daisy, Waluigi, Toadette and Spike (not to mention Wario in his Plumber Outfit). 1 thing I don’t get is that from seeing the start and end of the game, the Yoshis are still in their Stuff Knitted states, pity there was no Yin-Yarn, not sure how that happened to Yoshi’s Island (as with Kamek and Baby Bowser, who has the same old Final Boss style), never seeing the Fleshy versions of the Yoshis. Funnily enough, in Australia we tend to pronounce Yoshi’s name the… Read more »
