European/Australian Release Date For Yoshi’s New Island Released

It was only two weeks since North America announced the release date for Yoshi’s New Island. Now Nintendo of Europe have announced that Europeans will be able to get it on the same day as North Americans do, on Friday, March 14, 2014. Australia has also confirmed that they will get the game on Saturday, March 15, 2014. That’s three regions to get it before the actual Spring/Autumn season (Thursday/Friday, March 20/21, 2014)  begins. Japan, however, will be the last to see the release of this game. They will get it during Summer 2014, and if you’ve been following the Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/Wii U reveals, you can bet Sakurai won’t reveal anything relating to Yoshi’s New Island until the Japanese release.

Europe and North America are releasing games on the very same day? Seeing these release date’s, I doubt Yoshi’s New Island would be out Summer in Japan. C’mon, a Japanese game 3 MONTHS or (maybe I should say)QUITE SOME TIME after their English releases. No offense, but we’ll see when Iwata, also President of Nintendo of Japan, confirms a Japan release date (hopefully prior to E3).

On Super Mario Wiki, it mentions the story for New Island. The story is that somewhere called Egg Island, Baby Luigi is kidnapped. so the Yoshis and Baby Mario go to rescue Baby Luigi from possibly Kamek.

Probably why the game is called “Yoshi’s New Island”.

As I said below, we might not have to wait for YNI in Japan for Yoshi to be confirmed. Peach and Marth were confirmed randomly, as would most other veterans.

Marth had no games in sight and Peach was probably in order to avoid fans losing interest due to a lack of updates. However, her and Rosalina still have links to the SM3DW site and Marth has a link to the FE:A site, meaning that they still sort of advertise a game. There would be no reason to reveal Yoshi before and the pics of the day actually show new stuff now, so I honestly doubt Sakurai would bring him to the fray early.

Many other characters like Captain Falcon, Ness, Jigglypuff, Falco, Ganondorf, Wario, Lucas and Meta Knight don’t have any Upcoming games from what I know of which they could be confirmed for, meaning most of that lot could be randomly confirmed. I didn’t mention those that may not be back.

Some have virtual console and Pokemon always has surprise games or anime specials popping out of everywhere – the others could easily be used for breaching low levels of info or be unlockable characters not revealed before release.
