Week 26: Super Smash Bros. Official Site Updates

The official website for the two upcoming Super Smash Bros. titles is once again making updates on a regular basis. Similar to the Super Smash Bros. Dojo for Brawl, the official website will post images from both games five times a week. Whether this means we get announcements and characters reveals is still up in the air, but rest assured that new content is always coming your way. Keep checking back to this post as we update everything that is released for this week! A new post will be made for the next week.

Monday, December 2

Turnips are used in the Villager’s up-air and down-air attacks. Perhaps because the turnip prices fluctuate depending on the day’s market, the number of turnips that appear changes every time. How cute.

 

Tuesday, December 3

Pop quiz! Who is this monster, and where is it from? The cage may serve as a hint.

 

Wednesday, December 4

Excuse me, sir–a little help with the ball? There was once a game called Mega Man Soccer, by the way.

 

Thursday, December 5

The Villager’s special attack, the Lloid Rocket, is a projectile weapon like no other–you can either launch it or ride on it. When you fire it off, keep pressing the button to hop aboard–you can even control its speed. It’s more powerful when you’re riding it.

 

Friday, December 6

Here’s a new Assist Trophy–the Skull Kid! I repeat, it’s an Assist Trophy, not a new fighter. The characters announced on the website are the fighters!

He’s a particular Gyroid from the AC series. Odd as it may seem, Gyroids (in Japan anyway) are ‘terracotta clay figures that were buried with the dead in Japan between the 3rd and 6th centuries’. I don’t get the rocket bit since, well, I’ve never played an AC game.

What would you say if a Pokemon not like any other were an Assist Trophy as opposed to a Pokeball, that can be unlocked for covering all pokemon from their pokeballs.

I understand alright, and what I’m saying is that a unlockable assist trophy pokemon= unlikely, but unlockable pokeball pokemon= possible.

I thought an Assist Trophy was the non-Pokemon equivalent of Pokeballs anyway. So, uh, why put a Pokemon into the AT category when they already have their home category of Pokeball? -expects some Genesect or Mewtwo counter-

The Character from a movie about Video Games was in Sega All Stars Racing Transformed, and if told otherwise to a Namco TPC, Ralph should be it. Besides, a human TPC. Either he be a Playable Character or an Assist Trophy, he would not have been in SASRT for nothing.

Fix-it Felix Jr. was the video game. Again, he was in Sega All Stars Racing Transformed, which couldn’t be the only actual video game we play as him in. Since Mario was cut from the film, it would be great to actually see the two together.

Fix-it- Felix Jr. was an arcade cabinet made to promote the movie, so Wreck-it Ralph is a movie character, but I’m not gonna try to change your opinion to match my own.

It’s smart, although it should make the screen translucent, or you can only see faint white outlines of everything – something of the sort. Otherwise, Nintendog would be gone! And it was always way too fun to see my friends have an outrage about a Labrador puppy. 🙂

It’s not about a ‘new’ title. GameInformer has clarified that Reggie will be showcasing a previously announced WiiU title. Most people are placing their bets that it will be about Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.

It’s weird that this is the first assists trophy! But I’m really glad he made it as an assist and not playable. I would personally rather have Ghirahim or Yuga but I’m glad Skull Kid is there. I think it is less of a troll and more throwing MM fans a bone

I would love that but I’m seriously doubtful. Especially after he just talked about how operation moon fall has no effect on them. And if they put it on Wii I they would be wasting a game. I mean it would be awesome of course but it would not be a system seller. I think they need to make something that would attract a lot vs a few

It’s already been a disappointing “Year of Luigi”. Nintendo still bathed Mario in his usual glamor. They didn’t try enough with Luigi and that is what made me sorely disappointed. The products, I could care less for. It’s games starring Luigi is what SHOULD’VE happened more of. We did get LD:DM and NSLU,,, But c’mon. If you really wanted to aim for a “dedicated” achievement… MORE GAMES, PLEASE. I’m surprised at how frustrated I’m getting with their sloppy work. Here’s to a hopefully better continuation…

I agree with you. Mario just shoved his way in at the last second in Dark Moon, NSLU was pretty much a slightly harder NSMBU, and Luigi was still made fun of and was a sidekick to his bro in Dream Team. I’m still waiting for that perfect Luigi game with: 1. NO MARIO! Not an appearance, not a cameo, not even mentioned! Luigi needs a game without Mr. I-appear-in-everything hogging the limelight. Ok I agree with you, 3. In almost every game I know Luigi has been treated like dirt, the one game that didn’t do that was Dream Team, and the only character that actually dissed Luigi was Starlow…..stupid annoying yellow NAVI!! 2. And I WAS kinda glad Mario thanked his bro at the end of Dark Moon, I mean after he said absolutely nothing to Luigi at the end of Mario is Missing and the original Luigi’s Mansion. Super Princess Peach was just messed up. I’m not talking about how they dissed Luigi, which was just mean. But the ending was weird, about how they were talking about the Vibe Specter being in your house, your dad being upset, your mom being more happy. Nintendo, this is an E rated game……that mainly girls of a young age play…..why would you put something like that at the end.

Not many people got it, when they look it up and see the theories on it, they wished they never did….

There is ambiguity concerning the stage itself. The background could easily be some kind of animation or anything else of the sort. In other words, some sources are simply more skeptical than others.
