Both Mario Kart and the next Super Mario 3D platformer are set to be announced this June at E3, but it looks like we might be seeing these titles release a little sooner than expected. Coming from Nintendo’s most recent financial results briefing, the company announced via a press release that new entries in the Mario Kart series and the Super Mario Bros. series are expected to release within several months.
During the next several months, Nintendo expects to launch new titles in the Mario Kart (Wii U), Super Mario Bros. (Wii U), Wii Fit (Wii U), Pikmin (Wii U), The Legend of Zelda (Wii U and Nintendo 3DS), Mario & Luigi (Nintendo 3DS) and Pokémon (Nintendo 3DS) franchises.
The press release is unclear on whether the Super Mario Bros. game mentioned relates to the upcoming New Super Luigi Bros. DLC or for the new 3D platformer. What is clear is that it won’t be long before these games are in the hands of desperate Wii U owners.
I think they mean the fiscal year which ends April 2014. That would align it with Mario Kart Wii launching in 08.
Mario Kart will be out by the end of 2013 knowing Nintendo.
Super Mario Bros. (Wii U) is Super Mario (Wii U).
But how about Super Mario Bros. 4 or Super Mario Bros. U
Technicially Super mario world was originally called SMB4. But we already have 2d marios for wii u, it kinda good time to have 3d mario game
I can’t wait to see what they have in store for the next Mario Kart. Judging from the artwork of Mario holding the wrench, I think Kart Customization will return again. I hope they introduce something new to this installment. It’ll be a good one.
That’s Mario Kart 7 artwork.
Ah, I didn’t even notice that.
