Full Intro Sequence to Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon

With only a month before release, Nintendo has released a detailed intro for Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon. The intro shows most of what we already knew. Professor E. Gadd calls for Luigi’s help after King Boo shatters the Dark Moon, causing all his friendly ghosts to wreak havoc and escape.

There are quite a few things to note. Last time we speculated that a total of five pieces of the Dark Moon break apart, but it turns out there are actually six pieces in all. The intro shows Luigi in what appears to be his very own house. Looks like the shared living between Mario and Luigi in the Paper Mario series didn’t last. One last thing to note. During the scenes showing Luigi on his recliner, the map featured in the original Luigi’s Mansion can be seen behind Luigi on the wall.

Um, the shared living between Mario and Luigi..
You don’t notice that Luigi’s house looks a tad like the old mansion? If not, at least the location?
I sincerely think that’s where the old mansion was, and he lives in the one you get at a good rank ending.

Aside from that, I quite like the look of this. I wish they had Egad make a bit more fitting sounds, however, as it felt that some of his voiceclips were just thrown in there instead of being put at an appropriate place.
Well, to me at least.

Luigi could be useing the old mansion as a vocation house.

Because he was still living with Mario in Super Paper Mario.

So interesting about the 6 dark moon pieces. I wonder if one is for the Scarescraper?? Or maybe for a mansion we haven’t seen yet. So many questions

Actually, according to Mario Wiki his house looks like the rank D mansion from the original. Maybe he didn’t do so well when playing the Hidden Mansion and ended up with a mediocre house?

Because after all, the rank A mansion’s near Luigi Circuit…
