The day North America has been waiting for, Sunday, November 18, 2012, has finally come! Nintendo of North America has now launched the new Nintendo home console, the Wii U, and its slew of Wii U launch games, including the launch of New Super Mario Bros. U and Nintendo Land! Grab your console and your anticipated Wii U launch games and start playing!
The Wii U in North America will run you $299.99 for the White – Basic Set (8GB) or $349.99 for the Black – Deluxe Set (32GB) with Nintendo Land included. New Super Mario Bros. U and Nintendo Land will both run you $59.99 each, either in retail or digital. If you go digital, then New Super Mario Bros. U will take up 2GB and Nintendo Land will take up 3.2GB (Warning: Nintendo Land will NOT fit in Wii U Basic Set).
As most of you are leaning towards the Deluxe Set, you should have no problem. It is also worthy to note that a USB drive is recommended if you plan to download a lot. We plan to have guides and secrets up shortly for New Super Mario Bros. U and Nintendo Land, along with Paper Mario: Sticker Star, which is still in progress. Enjoy your new Wii U console and games, especially New Super Mario Bros. U and Nintendo Land!
Let us know in comments if you got yourself a Wii U or waiting until Christmas! Or if you’re also celebrating the eleventh anniversary of Nintendo GameCube, which originally released on Sunday, November 18, 2001 in North America!
Other regions have to wait two to three more weeks for the same launching:
Australia: Friday, November 30, 2012
