Just like New Super Mario Bros. 2 was available through retail or digital download from the eShop, Nintendo is preparing to bring back some of its earlier 3DS releases and give them a fresh release digitally on the eShop. So far the news has only been confirmed for Japan, but you can expect everything to carry over to the other regions. Each game is priced the same as it would at retail. Japan is scheduled to reciveve eight different games:
- Super Mario 3D Land
- Mario Tennis Open
- Mario Kart 7
- Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games (3DS)
- Star Fox 64 3D
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
- Pilotwings Resort
- The 3D Encyclopedia of Flora an Fauna
To add to the 3DS and Mario news, Japan will also be getting new 3DS LL bundles, with one themed after New Super Mario Bros. 2. The bundle contains a red 3DS LL with decals of different classic Mario items, as well as a copy of New Super Mario Bros. 2. No word on any release outside of Japan.
