Details on the Invincibility Leaf in New Super Mario Bros. 2

While the Invincibility Leaf was already revealed in our official art update, we now have a few more details as to what the Invincibility Leaf will do in New Super Mario Bros. 2. Just like in Super Mario 3D Land, the Invincibility Leaf will appear in a box once the player has died five times. The leaf will grant Mario and Luigi invincibility for the remainder of the level.

For a quick look at the Invincibility Leaf in Super Mario 3D Land, check out the video below:

I really don’t like this. It just shows that the difficulty will be severely lowered, just like in 3D land. Maybe after 10 deaths at least.

This power-up is completely optional. Players can use it for extra help.

It’s actually spelled Tanuki, but Mario spells it with the two Os.

And people will complain about the game being too easy, despite the fact that you don’t have to use it. Brilliant. TT_TT I don’t get my fellow gamers, sometimes.

It’s easy regardless of you using the suit. 😛
