While reluctant at first, Nintendo has finally issued their first patch to one of their retail releases. Mario Kart 7 received the update early this morning, fixing shortcut exploits in Maka Wuhu, Wuhu Loop, and Bowser Castle 1. While these updates only affect the online portion of the game, fans can give a sigh of relief as the Maka Wuhu glitch has ravaged the community since the release of the game last December.
To install the update, go to the eShop and find the update on the main menu. Download the update and your game is ready to go! The update will consume a total of 43 blocks. Be aware that players will be disabled from the online portion of the game if the update is not applied.
