New Super Mario Bros. 2… an eShop Title?

Earlier today, New Super Mario Bros. 2 was listed as an eShop title on Nintendo’s very own press website. Since then, the eShop tag has been removed and replaced with a tag for standard retail games.

While this looks like an honest mistake by Nintendo, it does bring up some interesting points. What if New Super Mario Bros. 2 was in fact a downloadable title on the eShop? How would this influence the game itself and how it is viewed by gamers? Would you rather have it in eShop form? Let us know in the comments below!

Logically, this can’t be true.
It is near impossible to charge $60 or so for a downloadable game, and we all know how much Nintendo like money.
