Luigi’s Mansion 2 and Animal Crossing 3DS Release Dates?

Both Luigi’s Mansion 2 and Animal Crossing 3DS lack an official release date, but if a GameStop posting is to be believed, that may just change. According to a picture taken of GameSpot’s future release calendar for the 3DS, both Luigi’s Mansion 2 and Animal Crossing 3DS are slated to release August 2, 2012 in North America. While this could simply be a placeholder date, we did report on a similar story that was in fact correct with the release of Mario Party 9.

It is also interesting to note that the cut off game from the list appears to be Paper Mario 3D, with the same release date of August 2, 2012, furthering the idea that these are simply placeholder dates.
