I wasn't aware you could do this. This would be if you used someone like Mario and his different variations as the characters, right?
I had fun with this and played with four Yoshis! ;D
But there's no real "different varations", we all use the same skin so this can be a bit confusing :-[
At least, they put the Amiibo's name in top of every character when this happens!

Did you have four Yoshi amiibos?
Nope but you can pick any character for the AI, even if somebody selected him already!
I didn't even know this was possible! I will def record a video and post it on my youtube once i do the Amiibo boards xD
