Well, the other day, I was talking with Guard on Facebook, and he told me, "you had a different name tag that I didn't recognize on the Twitch.tv stream for Brawl for that tourney last month lol. It was Yoshi something on the stream, right?".
I ended up telling him my actual username (Yoshi8984), and he asked me why I had THOSE specific numbers... I remember the whole story now. Now you guys will as well~
Well, although it may seem like random generic numbers, I played Neopets as a kid. From around Grade 1. Back then, I loved Pokemon, and for some reason, I was totally obsessed with Raichu. So I tried to register for Neopets as Raichu (insert something here, don't remember exactly
), but that was invalid. I ended up getting Raichu8984 as a suggestion, and it was easy for me to remember.
Then after, I wanted to adopt a Shoryu (those cute Dragons lol), and I named it Dragon (insert random generic numbers here), but then Dragon8984 came up so I took that. And so those numbers had stuck with me...
(Yes I know I had really awful and generic names, but did you really expect me to have such brilliant names back then?!
)
Now, Yoshi + 8984 got added to the mix when Yoshi became my favorite Nintendo character, after going to my childhood friend's house. In Mario Party, she always went Yoshi, and she loved how adorable he was, and so that had passed onto me. Also, back in my childhood, I loved playing Super Mario World, and I would replay the levels. I'd go into the Top Secret Area, get my Feathers & Yoshi, and go to a level with wings (usually Cheese Bridge Area lol) to make it Blue. I loved the Blue Yoshi's ability to fly, and that's also how Blue became my favorite color. Plus, Blue Yoshi is the reason I made it through the Tubular level.
Now, if you haven't noticed yet, the digits 8984 add up to 29, and I was born on January 29 (1998 lol) as well, so I considered 29 as another lucky/magic number as well.
My final (and most) magic/lucky number, is 6. I said that Mario Party 6 was my favorite Mario Party, right? Yeah, I mentioned it here a while ago. I also got it when I was 6 years old, and got it a few weeks after (it came it like 1 month and a half before my birthday actually O__O), and when I played it, I had an AMAZING time. I even finished with 6 Stars at the end of my first board game (on Towering Treetop). XD
Whenever I played Mario Party 4, and played the Lotto Tickets, I'd pick Ticket #6 (2nd column 2nd row). I usually won something there LMAO
...And plus, there was me winning the Lotto 3 TIMES so far in MPI choosing Ticket #6. 1st time I won a Banzai Bill (unfortunately I could not use it since I got Fabulous Craned lol) and the other 2 times I won 100 coins.
Oh yeah, remember Matthew from camp? Well, he worked in Group 6 as well.
My first day there actually, John asked me what group I wanted to work in... I said Group 6. But he wasn't so sure on that, and so he asked me to go in Group 5 instead. I didn't even know Matthew worked in Group 6 beforehand LOL
I was born on January 29th, and January is the 1st month, so my birthday is 1/29. If you add the digits of those together, you get 12, which is divisible by 6. If you add 1 and 29, you get 30, which is also divisible by 6.
My main family (aka the family I deal with on a daily basis, in our house
) is a family of 6. There's me, my brother, my 2 sisters, and my mom & dad. =P
My 6th Brawl tourney was also the best Brawl tourney in terms of placing.
To summarize it up: 6, 29 and 8984 are my magic numbers (6 being the most magical/lucky).
So uh yeah, that's my backstory behind it. Hope you enjoyed reading this~
A bit silly how I have such a story to these 3 numbers LMAO
3 is a multiple of 6 and I have 3 magic numbers which is another reason 6 is my magic number
