Earlier on in the year one of our staff members at the time suggested what we thought was an amazing coder and designer for the forum. For security reasons I'd rather not say his name but we all know who he was.. Now at first the staff and I were really happy and thought he was a great addition to the team. He did some wonderful things and fixed a lot of bugs we had database wide.

April 1st came around and we saw our new designer's true colors. He took it upon himself to hack the database and make him self super admin of the forum and site. Those of us that tried to stop him were banned and in Dark Boo's case, his entire profile was deleted. Thankfully SZ had the host kick and block him and we all regained control again. We even  managed to get Dark Boo's profile back. In the end he tried saying it was a ll just a practical joke.

To the staff it was a really big lesson for us not to trust someone with that kind of power without first getting to know them better. At the time we all thought he was a professional coder and had worked on other sites like ours. We had no idea what he was going to do.
 
Oh that was the dumbest April Fool's joke ever done for the entire history of MPL. That was so stupid. I think I was going to get banned too, but the hacker was stopped just before he was able to swing that hammer. And I believe H-J admitted it was also partially his fault for bringing him over, even if he didn't know that the whole mess was going to happen.

Which is why you should never trust anyone on the internet, no matter how convincing or honest they seem.

Good thing that you were able to bring it back to the way it was. Always back-up your forum/site/files at least every week or so.
 
Good effort on that dude's part, but he certaintly did not recreate the glory that was Sexy Party Forum....
 
I still remember this event and it was really not good for the website/forum here. April 1st was the only day of the week where I wasn't here at all, so I never saw anything of this but still think it was horrible of what this person did to people here and Mario Party Legacy doesn't deserve this at all, as well as SuperZambezi, the staff and the members... Also, every kind of things like that is really not good for the community over here, it's just... not good.

That doesn't mean everyone can't be trusted anymore... If no one would be trusted, believe me, I don't think you would do everything you are doing today on the website, as well as everyone else if SuperZambezi would not have take a chance with you and with any staff members over here. He would have done things by his own self. There are people that can be trusted, you just need to find the good one to be able to trust this particuliar person.

Someone like me would be a good example if we are talking about "trust", and I am totally honest. But once again, it depend of how people perceived me.
