I saw the the Poltergeist, the Shining, and the Exorcist when I was young and it was already bad enough during the daytime. I decided to see the Poltergeist a few months ago at night awhile after 12 o' clock and the effect wasn't strong as before but it was still great.
I always try to watch movies in the dark. Except when the sun is out cause thats kinda unpreventable. But yeah I usually have the lights off even if its a comedy.
