Missing from Mario Party 8: Blooper, Hammer Bro, Boo, Dry Bones, Toadette Birdo. But, this looks like the same roster from Mario Party DS with 2 new characters.

Like I said about two times today, I really hope Boo is confirmed to be playable. Boo didn't make the cut in Mario Party DS, but we'll see what happens soon enough. I could imagine the box-art RHB made for my team two years ago inspired them.

Hammer Bro: Good addition, so it would be cool to have it back.
Boo: It's a must, if he's not there I'll kill myself.
Dry Bones: Same as Boo
Toadette: Same as Boo and Dry Bones

I don't see why they keep on including generic enemies into the mix as playable characters. Why wouldn't they include actual characters with backgrounds/storylines?

I really hope they bring Hammer Bro. and Toadette back... They were great. Even though I didn't pick them all the time, they were so awesome to have around. I'm also shocked Boo is no where to be seen. But you never know, they could be unlockables or something...

Not sure if it would make sense as them to be unlockables, as they were in Mario Party 8, but it is reasonable for Koopa and Shy Guy.

Well, making them unlockable isn't exactly something they wouldn't do at all. It's possible.

Lakitu has just been a side character, throughout the Mario Party series. There was Lakitu Orb in MP7.

I never understood why Diddy Kong was never a playable character all this long in the Mario Party series. it would be a great substitue for DK. but very happy about Koopa Troopa and Shy Guy though.
