Dec 14 - Create a New Mario Party Item

Objective: Create a new Item to be used in any installment of the Mario Party series. It can be an orb, candy, dice block, or just a regular item. Any form of entry is allowed. You can create an image or art, a simple description, a video, etc. Anything can be submitted and counted for points as long as some effort is clearly put into your submission. However, the better the presentation, the more likely someone will vote for your entry.

Rewards: 1st Place - G20. 2nd Place - G10. Third and Below - G5

Extra Objective: Create a new topic or make three posts in the N64 Mario Party board for an extra G5!

NOTE: Today is the last day of finals for me. I'll update old contests with results and whanot later. Another "Create a" contest for today, but I will try to make some different activities in the coming week.​
 
My item has the name 'jingle dice'.
It is a red-white snow-covered dice with green numbers.
It gives you an extra dice and every player you pass by
gets frozen and has only a frozen dice from 1 to 3 for the next turn.
If you get the same numbers on your jingle dices you'll get an extra item.
 
Remember the Toadette Space?

If you were to land on any of the x2 events, Toadette would take stuff from you and give you an item. These were the items:

Pink Shock Spaces​
Toadette loves the smell of terror in the morning, and likes her coffee like she likes her men (frozen and ground up). These are extremely rare items only obtained from landing on a Toadette Space in Toadette's Music Room, and getting the x2 event. Toadette steals your stuff, but in return gives you one of these items.
Pink Coin Shock: Steals 20 coins from your opponent.
Pink Item Shock: Steals an item of your choice from your opponent.
Pink Star Shock: Steals a star from your opponent.
The items work like hexes in MPDS, placed on the ground and are activated by opponents. They will not activate if you or a partner lands on it.
The best and most evil part of these items?
If a foe walks by it, they automatically stop on the Shock and get their stuff taken. It's unavoidable, indestructible, but can't be thrown out or sold.
Be careful, as Pink Item Shocks can be used to steal other Pink Shock Items.

Elemental Card
Allows you to change your status ailment.
Each element has it own power that allows you to do an attack. With each Star Power slot increase, the power gets stronger but consume power. I would go on and tell you what each (6) elements do but that will take the whole page

Introducing the Snow Orb!​
Purchase price: 5 coins.​

- The Snow Orb converts to a snowball
- The player then throws the snowball at the unlucky target
- The target loses 10 coins
- Snow-balls can only be thrown 10 squares in the direction of which the person is moving. It cannot be thrown at players behind you.
- Adds skill and strategy to the game.

Advantages:
- Cheap.
- Long Range.
- Reliable.
- Could help you win?

Disadvantages:
- In a 4-player game, buying multiple is costly.
- Can't attack those behind you.
- Takes up a spot in your inventory.
- Not that powerful.

[size=8pt]Oh no! Someone with 26 coins is one space away from the star! I'm 9 squares away from it, but I'm not sure I can get there in one turn!
This is where the snow orb becomes very useful. All the player needs to do is use the snow-orb, it turns into a snow-ball, watch the amusing animation as the distant player throws a snow-ball at the one near the star and voila. They are unable to purchase the star due to lack of coins.

Hurray, they've lost 10 coins! Now's my opportunity to steal the star.

Hopefully it looks and feels like a normal Mario Party item. :D

My item is called the cellular phone.  It is in the shape of a phone(as if we don't have enough items based on phones already LOL).  The phone has a picture of a exclamation mark, and the body of the phone is red and white.  It makes you call all the other players and come over to your space.  It is kind of like the hootenany from MP2, except it can happen on any space, and is definitely more useful than what the hootenany did.

Lightning Capsule: When used, causes all other players to become mini during their turn. Also causes all other players to lose 5 coins.

When placed, causes players who pass it to become mini during the next turn.

And the mini status cuts your dice block in half, meaning you can only roll a number between 1-5.
Oh, and this is definitely a rare capsule, otherwise it would be a little cheap.
 
I couldn't make a picture sorry. Anyways I introduce the....
[size=18pt]Angry Sun Curse!
If one were to throw this extremely rare item on a space, it would appear with the character's emblem surrounded by a halo of fire.

The opposing player that lands on this spot won't be struck by the sun at first, but however the sun will follow the player the next three turns, striking them halfway through their voyage.

If the sun hits you, you loose five coins.The coins aren't added to the other player's total.

You can also evade the sun if you have a super leaf in effect.

(If the player that threw the item on the space lands on it, they will gain a coin.)
 
Item: DK Bongos

Effect: Calls DK and he will do the following:

  • Perform a DK Dual mini-game for coins or star
  • Perform a DK 4-player mini-game and earn coins
  • Give you a rare item
  • Protects you from any harm for 5 turns

This Item is sold from the shop for 15 coins.

And, almost unintentionally, I made 3 posts in the N64 Mario Party board.

I guess that's +5 G for me then.

Not sure if I should have edited my old post, or if it is fine just to make a separate post to state this.

(And by unintentionally, I mean I actually posted in two topics in that board then realized "oh wait, if I post in 3, I will get the secondary bonus for today's activity". And so I did).

Item Name: Wanted Item
Description: When you'll use this item, a roulette will appear with every opponent of the game. When the arrow falls on one of the characters, he/she'll be the ''Wanted'' character. Everyone will have 2 turns to chase after them and if you're successful, you get 1/4 the coins that person owns. Be wise when you use this item!
Cost: 15 coins
Frequence In stores: Medium/Normal
Similar items: Winter Wanted Item Edition, Super Wanted Item.

Going to use an item I created from my game
Item - Ghost 'shroom
Cost - 15 coins

This pure-white mushroom (not to confuse with the Boo Mushroom :p) will allow you to turn one player of your choice invisible until your next turn!
This gives that player immunity to almost all events that go on during that turn!

Disadvantages of being invisible :
  • Skips item shops
  • Skips star space
  • Can't collect anything from spaces landed on
  • Unable to use non-mushroom items on your next turn if you didn't use this

Advantages of being invisible :
  • Can't be targeted by items
  • Can't be targeted by Boo
  • Can't be harmed by Bowser
  • Can't lose anything from spaces landed on, including spaces owned by other players (does not De-activate user passing events, though)
 
I went ahead and made items. For use within a new game coming up...(hint, hint)

GEMS!

9 Gems are pictured but there are dozens of more to explore.

Each gem gives a player a particular stat boost, affecting the gameplay of their character.

These gems affect 3 stats as of right now. HP, ATK, and DFN

HP Gems: Peach, Daisy, and Rosalina
ATK Gems: Mario, Luigi, Yoshi
DFN Gems: Wario, Waluigi, DK

Each gem is also associated with special upgradeable abilities that will be revealed at a later time. (wink, wink)

Gems can be used in combination for greater affects. These are buyable from shops and won from special minigames.
