Bowser498's Top 16 MK8 DLC Tracks CONTEST

Number 9!
Mute City
maxresdefault.jpg

Mute City is actually a Retro Track from F-Zero. I was surprised that Nintendo remembered this! Though, what makes this track creative is that the way to get coins is to go over a multi-color strip panel, and that the whole course is anti-gravity! Sometimes, the course can be very chaotic! Though, like Wario's Gold Mine, there could've been a glider section---a good spot would've been that ramp section towards the end or the ramp shortcut towards the end. The music for this track was good for a remix; the scenery was quite appealing. Though, it wasn't as good as Big Blue...

No points were given because they both said it was #6... :p

2nd: RobinFTW (13 Points)

And on a side note, I'm just really disappointed that Satoru Iwata passed away yesterday. It indeed was a sad time for me. :(
(If you want, you can post thoughts here, but I recommend some of the other boards. :p)

Number 8: my lucky number!
GCN Yoshi Circuit
yoshi_circuit.jpg

Yoshi Circuit was one of three Double Retro Tracks returning. Out of the three, this was obviously the best selection. The scenery was great, the music was both new and original; the melody played a great role in the music. I also liked the variety of shortcuts and ramps throughout the level. Though, they should've brought back the tunnel shortcut from Double Dash! (and MKWii Custom Tracks). This track is very fun to race on; 200cc was very chaotic, but also fun! Though, I don't think this track will be in a future Mario Kart (I mean ones before MK10 and 11; it may then return). But what could be better than Yoshi Circuit? Stay tuned to find out! :-D

No points were awarded, once again... XP

Number 7!
Neo Bowser City
019.jpg

Probably one of the more expected tracks returning, Neo Bowser City was a great decision! It looked better than before compared to MK7; I liked the rain texture on the ground. The music was also great; there was a balance of shortcuts. However, there could've been a ramp shortcut on the section with all the curves. It isn't as fun as some of the other top ones, but this can be fun playing on wifi! I liked how Nintendo brought some new things on this track, while bringing back some old elements from MK7! ;)

RafalRib got it within 1! (+5 Points)

Will you look at that! The scores are flipped! :p

Number 6!
Wild Woods
latest

Indeed a very creative track, Wild Woods has that theme that is spooky and safe. Part of it was actually very dark and dank, while other parts were bright. I liked the variety of gliders and ramps; there were a fair amount of shortcuts. I liked the music---very similar to the track itself. However, there are five more tracks better than this, including one retro track. Even though this didn't get into the Top 5, this is a great track.

Top 5!
GBA Ribbon Road
maxresdefault.jpg

GBA Ribbon Road is indeed the best retro track in the entire DLC. The design is great, the music definitely suits the theme of the track, and the gameplay itself is nice. The shortcuts, especially the one at the end, is nice. The ramp shortcuts, however, didn't save much time at all. 200CC races are fun, but can feel a bit repetitive at time.

No points were awarded. Why would it be at #1? :p

The Bronze Medal, at #4!

Hyrule Circuit

Ahh, Hyrule Circuit, an excellent track representing the Zelda series. The graphics are great; I enjoyed the Toads and other people cheering me on from the sidelines. The music itself is excellent; is relevant to the Zelda series. The balance of shortcuts was executed greatly, and the balance of item boxes was...well good enough that I could get several per lap... :p
The track itself represents the Zelda pack in a great way, and it was the best that it could be. ;)

RafalRib gets it within 1! (+5 Points)

The Silver Medal, Number 3!

Super Bell Subway

MK8-DLC-Course-SuperBellSubway-startingline.jpg

A very detailed track, this track has many easter eggs and secrets. It's like I can find a secret each time I play it, especially the SMB 1-2 pic easter egg! I like the music; it is very creative. Also, I also enjoyed how there are multiple routes, and subways to spice up the challenge! What are the Top 2? Stay tuned!

RobinFTW got it within 1! (+5 Points)
1st: RafalRib (41 Points)
2nd: RobinFTW (18 Points)

No matter what, Raf wins!

Gold Medal at #2!

Animal Crossing
MK8-DLC-Villager.jpg

An excellent track, Animal Crossing provides tons of fun. The addition of all four seasons and bells replacing coins were a nice addition. The music was also very charming!
Sorry that some of these weren't that long... :p

Raf gets it within 2! (+3 points)
1st: RafalRib (46 Points)

Get ready for #1! :D

The PLATINUM MEDAL, at the BEST MK8 DLC TRACK, #1!
Big Blue
search

A track that is very appealing, Big Blue demonstrates creativity, originality, and graphics. The music was great---it was very nice seeing a "new" F-Zero song! I absolutely loved how each section was unique in its own way; from gliders to ramps to coin panels, Big Blue provides a variety of all of that! Even though they are very hidden and some weren't intended, there were some very nice shortcuts, such as the beginning turns and the switching of the routes towards the end of Lap 3! (from right to left)
This track never gets boring to play on wifi because each race provides something different!
