I'm actually kind of interested in this. The previous 3DS game was better, and with delays I have better hopes for it. Won't probably won't be getting it on release though.

Yasssssssssss. Playing games for achievements is a guilty pleasure of mine. :S I know the points you earn are meaningless but more often than not they encourage me to play the game more than I would on my own, that's what I like about them mostly.

Developers backed away? Wii has had way more 3rd party support than the Wii U. Sure, not all games were always ported due to hardware limitations, but for example, many of the Call of Duty games were ported over to the Wii despite that.

I disagree entirely about the Wii remote. Don't forgot that the Wii was incredibly successful. The Wii remote, which is even more less traditional than the Gamepad, didn't stop people from buying the Wii like hotcakes.

But not enough to make the controller the centerpoint of the console.

I'm suprised this is getting a physical release (albeit with a pack-in with Zero). When I first saw it I assumed it would be it's own eShop release. Can't say that it has really caught my interest yet but I guess I'll have to see it or myself this Friday.

So basically the majority of Nintendo's library. I can't think of any game where the design of the GamePad is critical besides Super Mario Maker and ZombiU. The only worthwhile gimmick that the GamePad has really is Off-TV play.

I got an early code for it and it's incredibly dumb and gimmicky in that you must scan an amiibo each time you want to switch to that character. It should just unlock that character for use there on out. I don't want to keep 10 amiibo with me just so I can switch to the respective characters.
